With a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and standard all-wheel drive, the Evoque is ready to tackle city streets, gravel roads, and snowy driveways, but it lacks the low-range gearing and terrain-specific drive modes that more serious off-roaders in the Land Rover family offer. Instead, it distills the Range Rover luxury experience down to an urban-friendly package and turns heads with its fashionable exterior styling. Its minimalist interior is chic and tech-focused, but there's less room for people and cargo inside than rivals such as the BMW X1 and the Volvo XC40.
